    The Pocahontas Trail System

    Most noted for..... one third of the largest continuous areas of the HMT network along with Pinnacle Creek and Indian Ridge trail systems and connectors.   Pocahontas is also know for historic former millionaire town of Bramwell where it's trailhead is located.  The Pocahontas trail system is the nearest HMT trail to the I-77 Turnpike and gateway to the southeast.

    Percentage breakdown of trails by difficulty rating are as follows;
    Easiest (Green):  22%
    More Difficult (Blue):  47%
    Most Difficult (Black):  22%
    Most Difficult (Red/Black):  3%
    Single Track (Orange):  6%

    Trailhead:
    The trailhead is located at 174 Simmons Ave. Bramwell, WV 24715 (lat N 37 19 40, long W 81 18 47).  The trailhead site currently has a 2+ acre parking lot and onsite portable restrooms. Permits can be purchased at the Bramwell City Hall or nearby businesses.
