The Guyandotte River follows a wandering course through one of the world’s most rugged mountain regions—an Appalachian landscape covered in thick forests and peppered with ghost towns and relics of one of the nation’s most productive coal-mining industries.  We invite you to explore the region by paddling the Guyandotte River through this unique landscape and experiencing the many small towns along the way.  The Guyandotte Water Trail has 24 access points and stretches from Wyoming County to the Ohio River.  For more information, please visit
