Hatfield McCoy Trails Announces 2026 Trail Permit Fee Adjustment

Logan, WV — October 24, 2025 — For the first time in two decades, the Hatfield-McCoy Trails will implement a price adjustment for the Non-Resident trail permits, effective November 17, 2025, when the 2026 trail permits are available for purchase. The fee for Non-Resident permits will increase from $50 to $65, while the WV Resident trail permit rate will remain unchanged at $26.50.

This adjustment comes as the Hatfield-McCoy Trails continues to expand and enhance its trail network, ensuring that visitors and residents alike can enjoy safe, well-maintained, and sustainable recreation opportunities for years to come.

“We are proud to have maintained our permit prices for the past twenty years,” said John Fekete, Deputy Executive Director. “As we continue to invest in the growth and improvement of our trail system, this modest increase will help us meet the rising costs of maintenance, infrastructure, and expansion.”
