Just 4.2 miles from the Hatfield-McCoy Ivy Branch Trailhead and 16 miles from The Big Coal and Tornado Single Trax Trailheads, our retreat is the ideal base for adventure. On-site, you’ll enjoy direct access to the Walhonde River Trail, perfect for kayaking, fishing, or cooling off with a summer swim. And right across the highway, Waterways Water Park offers family fun from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

We feature 23 riverfront, full hook-up campsites, each equipped with electric, sewer, water, a picnic table, and firepit. For those seeking a more rustic experience, we also offer tent sites with or without electricity.

Looking for comfort? Choose one of our two cozy cabins, each sleeping up to six guests. Both cabins include:

• Private bath stocked with towels and washcloths
• Kitchen with microwave, refrigerator, stovetop/hot plate (in the Ranch), coffee pot, toaster, pots, pans, plates, and cups
• Living room with a two-person sleeper sofa and smart TV
• Complimentary linens and Wi-Fi

Cabin layouts:

• The Ranch: one full bed and two bunkbeds in the bedroom
• The Coal Miner’s Cabin: one full bed in the bedroom and two twin beds in the loft

By spring 2026, we’ll be adding two more six-person cabins to expand your lodging options.
